Following the completion of the first integration phase of SDC into NBS, the Board of Netcompany Banking Services (NBS) has appointed the current Commercial Director, Thomas Cordth, as the new CEO. The current CEO, Torben Finnemann, will step down as part of a planned leadership transition.

On 24 February, the Board of NBS initiated a planned leadership transition effective 1 April 2026.

The change of leadership takes place by mutual agreement and follows the completion of the first integration phase. Current CEO Torben Finnemann will formally step down at the end of March but will remain available to the company until the end of June 2026. At the same time, Jens Aaløse will join the Board of NBS.

Jens Aaløse, Country Managing Partner at Netcompany Denmark and Board Member of NBS:

»I am pleased to present Thomas Cordth as the new CEO. Thomas has been part of establishing NBS and has a strong understanding of the market, the clients and the culture. Thomas also brings more than 25 years of experience from Netcompany and knows how important stable operations and quality of delivery are.«

»I would also like to take this opportunity, on behalf of the Board, to thank Torben for our excellent collaboration. Torben has made a commendable contribution in connection with the integration, and we wish him all the best in his future endeavours.«

Thomas Cordth, succeeding CEO of NBS:

»I am proud of the trust shown in me and approach this new role with humility. The focus in the initial period will be on stable operations and a high level of delivery reliability. After that, it is about building on NBS’ strong foundation and prioritising the development projects that make the greatest difference for customers across the Nordics.«

Torben Finnemann, departing CEO of NBS:

»I knew that my task would conclude when the first integration phase was complete. I am proud of what our colleagues at Netcompany and the former SDC have accomplished together, and I remain available to support a proper transition through to 30 June.«
